採点者が受験生の「印象」を形成するのは、Part 1です。これはゆるぎない真実です。それだけPart 1は重視されているはずなのです。私が7.5とれたのは確実に「Part 1で想定質問しか出なかったから」です。この日のPart 3では「朝超早起きできたら何がしたいですか？」という質問で、そもそも早起きの私としては戸惑って回答に詰まってしまってフワフワしたしょぼい回答をしていました。それでも予想外の点数が取れたのは「Part 1で好印象を植え付けることに成功したから」だと分析しています。
そこで本記事では、私がIELTS Speaking 7.5を叩き出した時までに準備していた「Part 1の頻出質問集と暗記していたスクリプト」を公開させていただきます。私が丸暗記していたスクリプトは以下の質問への回答のみです。他は全てアドリブ対応しました。
Part 1の質問は本当に多岐に渡るので、なるべく省エネで対策したいところですよね。 個人情報的な箇所は修正を入れておりますが、ネタ出しの土台として、もしくはテンプレート的にご活用いただくことは可能かもしれません。

Do you work or study?
この質問、「超」頻出です。信じられないかもしれませんが、私は5回受けたうち、3回これで始まりましたｗ決め台詞を盛り込み、確実にスコアアップ狙っていきましょう。私はnew→novelやfeel bad →sufferにパラフレーズし、passionとかmotivationとかパワーワードを入れていました。
I work. Since 20XX, I’ve worked for XXX company as a XXX to develop novel XXX for XXX. I’ve had a strong passion and motivation to save people suffering from XXX because when XXX.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
やりがいがある（it’s rewarding） はどこでも使いやすいスコアアップフレーズです。
I get pleasure from XXX. It’s an arduous task indeed, but it’s rewarding at the same time. A couple of years ago, our team was able to develop XXX, providing XXX.
Do you want to continue doing your current job?
No, I don’t think so. This is because I want to change my career from XXX to XXX as quickly as possible to achieve my future goal that is to XXX.
Do you prefer to work alone or in a group?
I definitely like to work in a team, because from my past experience I’ve learned XXX. By such effective collaboration, we were able to XXX in just XXX months.
Which do you work better, during the morning or the evening?
I can maximize my work efficiency in the morning simply because I am an early-riser. I usually report to work at half past seven, and there are fewer distractions like phone calls from clients and requests from my superiors. This quiet environment always increases my concentration on work. In addition, I can leave office earlier and spend more time on my hobbies.
What’s the most important consideration when you choose a job?
The location of my workplace was a paramount factor to consider. A long commute by train or a lack of nearby transport systems causes me great inconvenience. So the workplace should be located in close proximity to my home.
Tell me about your town where you live.
I live with my family in XXX, the XXX city in XXX. It is relatively comfortable to live in, with lower housing costs and lush greenery, since this town is located a little far from central XXX. On top of that, there are plenty of shopping centers and public facilities for XXX, so it is quite popular among XXX.
What’s the most interesting part of your hometown?
My hometown, XXX, is a so-called bedroom suburb, locating on the XXX of XXX. The most significant character of my town is that it boasts its easy-access to both urban and rural areas. So it is definitely a perfect place for people like me who commute to XXX on weekdays and enjoy XXX on weekends.
Do you think your hometown has changed in recent years?
I suppose that my hometown, XXX, has changed greatly in the last 10 years. In particular, the train system has improved considerably. For example, XXX Line that runs across this area used to run every 15 minutes, but now it runs every 3 minutes during rush hours. It evolved into an attractive city for many commuters.
Do you live in a house or an apartment?
I’m currently living in a XXXbedroom apartment with XXX. We live on theXXX floor of a XXX-story building. However, there are taller buildings around it, so it doesn’t get much sun. I moved to this place XXX years ago when XXX.
What do you like about your apartment?
One of the best advantages of my condominium is that it is close to convenient facilities, including train stations, libraries, and shopping complexes. It is also located near a spacious park overflowing with greenery where XXX can enjoy outdoor activities such as a picnic.
Which room do you like the best?
My favorite room is the lounge where I sit back and relax in my spare time. I enjoy watching movies while lying on a plush couch, and having a chat with XXX about our interests including XXX and XXX.
What type of accomodation would you like to live in the future?
The most desirable residence for me is a large detached house surrounded by beautiful nature that also has easy access to pristine beaches or holiday resorts. I would like to live in a stress-free life with XXX in the distant future.
What type of transport do you often use?
I normally ride a bike every weekday morning when I commute to work since XXX and moved to an apartment that is located near my office.
When do you usually take a taxi?
I hardly ever use a taxi simply because it’s expensive, but I do so when I miss the last train or there is a major delay in train service due to accidents or disruptions.
What are the benefits of using public transport?

There is no need to worry about traffic congestion and parking lots. When I went to XXX to see the autumn foliage last month, I couldn’t find any parking spaces, and I got stuck in heavy traffic. At that time, I thought I should have used public transport.
What problems can people have when they are on their daily trip, for example to work or school?
I suppose that is severe traffic congestion. This happens, especially in a big town during the rush hour, because too many people are moving to a distant workplace or school at the same time.
Where do you normally have lunch?
I usually eat lunch at a cafeteria inside my office building. It offers a variety of healthy and well-balanced meals made from fresh local ingredients. It also serves tasty foods in large portions at reasonable prices.
Which do you prefer, eating at restaurants or at home?
I would rather eat at home because I can select any ingredients I like, and cook meals to my taste. As XXX, I’m a health-conscious person, so I always try to reduce salt and fat intake, positively contributing to maintaining my health.
Which do you think people from your country prefer to choose, money or freedom?
Well, it’s a difficult question, but it would seem to me that Japanese people would go for money. They feel insecure and apprehensive about pension scheme due to the imminent super-aging society. It’s been a lot of controversy lately, with a government official report saying that people need $200,000 per person after their retirement.
